weekly report: final week of the internship

So this was the last week of my internship at A. Epiphaniou. But not the last week in Limassol. We have one week of vacation coming up and then it is time to go home. I must say I will miss all my colleagues a lot! Because they made me feel at home from the first minute I walked in. They are all very nice and beautiful people.
This was not a week that was very quiet like the last few weeks. Because the whole week we were busy with the new products that came in. On one day we got ASA, Nachmann and Spiegelau products. Especially ASA was a lot, because we had to put some boxes in the storage room and some products we needed to take out, price them and put them in the store.
Margarita and I did Spiegelau. We needed first to check the packing list. Every products is on there with the code and the amount of boxes. So we checked one by one product if it was correct and put them in the storage room. This was the part that took the most time, because we needed to make space in the storage room for the new products. Also the same products names of the brand needed to be together. So you have in the storage room all type of brands which are divided into other names . From Spiegelau you have different series of glasses, for example you have Beverly Hills, Festival and many more names.
With the ASA products we needed to price a lot. The boys and Vicky where in the back of the store checking the products and Christina and I were in the front of the store pricing the products. Also there were a lot of new products, so Christina did these products and I did the older ones. But the prices were a bit strange, for example € 6,66 or € 3,18, then I needed to change the price in a round number, so € 7,- or € 3,-. First I always asked Christina if for example € 7,- was all right, because she knows if the products were sold a lot. For example we had some decoration branches and they sold them a lot, so then you can make the price higher. But if you know that it did not sell that good it is better to make the price lower.
Off course when you have new products, you have purchases and I needed to put them into the computer.
After all these weeks I spend in this company, I have learned a lot. Not only on the business, but also on the culture of Cyprus and other stuff that may come in handy sometime. Like where all the cutlery is for and what kind of cutlery there is. I will never forget this experience I gained in these weeks. When I look back it is a really short time. And I am also very thankful that I had the opportunity to go on a internship abroad, because not many people can say that.
