This week was a short week, because we had the Monday of. They have a national holiday called Green Monday. This is the start of the lent. On this day they do not eat meat and dairy.
The rest of the week it was a bit quiet. There were not that many customers, because also here in Cyprus economical crisis.
We also got some new products that we needed to put in the storage room. But the problem was that there was not enough place in the storage room that the products needed to be in. So other products needed to be moved to make place for the other products. Every time we put new products into the storage room, we do it by number. So we start with the lowest number and work up to the highest number. Because there was no place for all the products, we needed to take some of them out and put them somewhere in the store. So then things needed to be changed in the store also. It is not so handy to order new products, when there is no place to put them. In the end everything was put somewhere, but it took a long time before we had finished it.
And like every time when new products are coming to the store, I needed to make some new items. Some of the new products we already had, so they did not need to be put into the computer.
The storage rooms are very different from the one you find in the Netherlands. Because here they have really tiny storage rooms and they have five of them in the store. But in our country you would find a bigger storage room and that it would only have one. The rooms are also not that organised. You can see where the brand start, because of a piece of paper. Because it is not so organised it is sometimes really hard to find some product that a customer wants. Especially when you just start there it is hard. After a while you just know where to find the products.
Athina needed some copies of a book, so she asked me to make the copies. The book showed the prices for the couches (or sometimes a piece for a couch) that we sell in the showroom. She needed three copies. One is for herself, so she can look through it. One for the price lists in the store, the ones I have printed when we need to make manual receipts. And one for the customers, so they can have a look through it and see what kind of couches they have and which prices the couches are.
