Weekly report: week 2 of the internship

Yes the second week of my internship has almost passed. I have learned a lot this week.
To begin with the Monday. On Monday and Friday I come in early, so that I can see how it is to open the store and to help if the sales persons need anything. This time I learned what you need to do when the sales person want to buy or take a product with him to the client. You can make a invoice for this, but the different thing is that all the different sales persons have a different code. The code is for the account of the sales person, so that if they check the system they can see what he has bought or sold.
This was also the week of incoming products and decorating and redecorating products in the store. Because on Monday there came a truck to the store with a lot of products. We unloaded the truck and placed the products in the storage room or in the store. The next day all these products needed to be put into the shelves and on the tables of one room of the store, we call it the 60%-room. But everything was full already, so we needed to give most of the products in the room a different place to make place for the other products. This took us a whole day and we worked on it with four persons.
There were also products in the truck that were new for the store, so I learned how to make a code for the products and how to set them into the computer. If you put all the information in the computer from the product, you also need to put the price that the customers have to pay for the product in there. They mostly do the price they paid times three and then also the 15% VAT on top. This is just a general formula for making the price, because some products then have a higher price and some have a lower price. After that you can price them and put them in the store.
Thursday we also had new products that came in, so we needed to price them and put them in the store again. And again we needed to put some products on other tables. So than I could decorate one table again with plastic glasses. This was something I really like, because I could do whatever I wanted with them.
We also went to the head office. This is in another building and there are more companies of A. Epiphaniou close to it. We had a tour around the head office and met all the people that are working there. We can also come back some day to learn more about the big projects they do, for example the Larnaca airport. The companies Interyachting and Domoplex are close to the head office and we got a tour there and also some calendars, caps, brochures and stuff like that.
