The business I work with has a combination of the centralised and decentralised organisational structure. This is more effective for the company, because they have eight sorts of companies. This is better that they can make decisions on their own, otherwise it would be a lot of work to go to all the companies to make decisions. Now in the head office they have the time to concentrate on the more important decisions. The individual companies know the best what is going on in the business and because it is a combination of centralised and decentralised they react to what is happening immediately.
They have a head office that makes decisions for all the companies under the name A. Epiphaniou, but here in the shop they also make decisions on their own. The head office has an accounting department and an advertising department. These departments are for all the companies that are involved with A. Epiphaniou.
Here in the shop they can make decisions on what is happening inside the shop. They can hire people if necessary and also fire people when it is not working out. Everything involving the products they can also do on their own. For example if they want to order products that they need for the shop and the pricing of the products.
